This wedding day was a long time coming.  For me anyways.  I’ve known Ernst for well over a decade.  I even tried to connect with him while I was living overseas but he just kept blowing me off.  Just kidding – he was busy in med school or something like that.  So when the day finally came that he married his beautiful bride I had a certain sense of “wow – I’m photographing his wedding” which is a surreal moment to be sure.  Having met Elsa I had a sense of joy and happiness for them both.  They are GENUINELY happy.  They are HONESTLY in love.  And they TRULY make each other laugh.  Their Jasper Park Lodge wedding was a collection of beautiful sunshine with a mountain backdrop and winding rivers which truly made for some jaw-dropping wedding photos

The stunning wedding at Jasper Park Lodge was the perfect venue for their wedding.  The expansive mountain views and winding rivers were the perfect nod to their active lifestyles.  In fact, when approached with the idea of having to hike up a steep incline for a few photos, they didn’t even bat an eyelash!  They were ready and had their hiking boots packed and ready for whatever ridiculous idea I threw at them!  Thank you both for trusting me with your amazing day.  Your love is true.  Your day was perfect and your friends are mayhem!  I hope the wedding photos below bring you back to an amazing celebration and maybe even make you say “holy sh*t! did that really happen?!”
